Today’s Vascular Wellness Voice is a Wellness Wednesday Nurse Clinicians in Action case story about a PICU Patient needing Emergent Vascular Access. This two-month-old patient was suffering from RSV and pneumonia and needed additional Vascular Access. This case story describes our unmatched ability to place an internal jugular CVC in an emergent pediatric situation.
As in this case, our clinicians are often called in for placement of advanced lines after failed attempts by other clinicians. We have a greater than 98 percent success rate with zero (0) insertion-related infections for standard and advanced lines, including challenging cases such as this one and others described in our NCIA case stories.
We are passionate about advancing healthcare and our commitment to our clients and patients. In this instance, the callback and quick response saved a pediatric patient’s life.
